We pay extra attention to detail and finish leather carefully with tapering edges & locked stitching. Edge staining & finishing is done by hand. Ensuring quality at all times.'.

We achieve highest quality products & repairs using only the finest quality English Bridle leather, good quality coloured leather or tooling leather for carving.
We only use the best quality materials & fixings to compliment the high standards of our craftsmanship.

Karen Beeny began training in the traditional art of saddle & bridle making from 1987.
In 1994 Saddle Sense Working Saddlers was established.

The company was re-branded in September 2004 as The Leading Leather Company, to better reflect the items we produce – as we ventured in to the dog world & exhibited at DISCOVER DOGS 2004 & CRUFTS 2005.

Further training was taken in January 2006 to learn the art of carving, stamping, tooling & dying leather. With this skill we occasionally run basic leather craft classes at the local youth club/pony club/village hall.
